SURVEY ON SELF-EFFICACY OF UPCOMING PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHERS

Abstract

The main purpose of the study was to survey on Self-efficacy of Upcoming Physical Education Teachers. For this study total of 50 students were randomly selected from Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), College of Physical Education.  The subject’s age ranged in between 18 to 25 years.  The data were collected with the help of a standard questionnaire by Dr. Sushma Talesara and Dr. Farzana Irfan. To determine the Self-Efficacy Scale, percentage was employed as a statistical tool to analysis the data. The scale consists of a total of 26 responses. Each questions have 4 responses. These are- extremely high, high, above average, average, below average, low, and extremely low. The result of the study revealed that a total 0% of upcoming physical education teachers have Extremely High Self-efficacy, 18% of upcoming physical education teachers have High Self-efficacy. 46% of upcoming physical education teachers have Above Average Self-efficacy. 18% of upcoming physical education teachers have Average Self-efficacy. 16% of upcoming physical education teachers have Below below-average self-efficacy. 2% of upcoming physical education teachers have Low self-efficacy. 0% of upcoming physical education teachers have Extremely Low Self-efficacy.
