SURVEY ON THE SMART PHONE ADDICTION ON PHYSICAL EDUCATION STUDENTS
Abstract
The main purpose of the study was to survey on the Smart Phone Addiction on Physical Education Students. For this study total 50 students were randomly selected from Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), College of Physical Education, Pune. The subject’s age ranged in between 18 to 25 years. The data were collected with the help of a standard questionnaire. To determine the Smart Phone Addiction Scale, percentage was employed as a statistical tool to analysis the data. The scale consists of a total 23 responses. The result of the study revealed that total 14% of physical education students have Very High Level of Addiction, 4% of upcoming physical education teachers have High Level of Addiction. 24% of upcoming physical education teachers have Above Average Level of Addiction. 32% of upcoming physical education teachers have Average Level of Addiction. 14% of upcoming physical education teachers have Below Average of Addiction. 10% of upcoming physical education teachers have Low Level of Addiction. 2% of upcoming physical education teachers have Very Low Level of Addiction. In this research concluded that the physical education students have an average level of smart phone addiction.
